Morris is a 6 year old DSH. Morris came from a feral colony near the Philadelphia Airport. We previously trapped and neutered him in February, and then let him go back into the colony because he was not very friendly at the time. Turns out he just needed some time to trust. We have been visiting the colony more and more since more cats have been dumped, and he just walked up to us, rubbed against our legs, and started to purr! He wants to be an inside, cherished pet, not an outside guy anymore! He is ready for the next chapter in his life. Morris did test positive for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus). Cats with FIV can live long, happy, healthy lives with proper care, love, and nutrition. FIV is contagious among other cats, not dogs, humans, or other animals. Transmission can occur with breeding (he is neutered) and fighting (bite wounds). Morris is all about second chances! Now that he is living large inside with AC on enjoying his daily tuna fish treat, he wonders why he was so grumpy in February!
