When A Buddy For Life, Inc was called alerted to Simonas plight in the Kensington are of Philadelphia, we went out over the course of three weeks trying to catch the petrified little dog. During our first visit there, we made a decision: whatever animal we found would be leaving with us due to the horrible living conditions for homeless animals in this area. We found Mr Kitty, or more accurately, he found us. We were leaving Simona pieces of chicken for dinner after a long day of not being able to catch her, when Mr Kitty walked up and started to eat the chicken. We approached him slowly, and he walked right up to us and started to rub on our legs. We scooped him up and got him into our vehicle, safe and sound. Covered in fleas, ticks and dirt, he was starving. He ate a lot of chicken during our ride up 95! He is now safe and happy in a foster home.
He is a wonderful guy who loves to be on your lap. It is as if he is always thanking us and showing us how much he appreciates being off the hard streets of Philly. He does well with dogs, but we do not know how he is with other cats yet. He is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, and FELV/FIV neg/neg. Please consider giving Mr Kitty a home for the holidays. He has probably never known the love of a real family before, and now that he does, he is making the most of it every day!
