Missy and Molly are two sisters that were found as strays in North Carolina. They are about 1 1/2 years old. When I first saw their pictures on the shelter website I thought it was the sweetest thing how they tried to get as close to each other as they could through their kennels. This is a shelter that euthanizes on a weekly basis. I contacted them to find out how to help these poor girls. I was told that they were feral and would not make it out.

A volunteer for the shelter went in and tried to get them to take some treats, they were so terrified they wouldn't eat. them. They decided if someone would work with them they could go to rescue. So they came to us.

They were very scared at first, but have come a long way these past couple of months. They are both very smart and learn things really quickly. All they needed was some TLC. I just can't imagine if they weren't given this chance.

Missy was positive for heartworms when she came to us.. She has already gone through her treatment and is doing fine. She is so happy to be able to run around with her sister again. It takes some time for Missy to trust people, but she is a huge sweetheart. She loves to be petted and cuddle.

Molly has had more time to get used to things and is truly a character. She loves to run around outside like a crazy girl, but settles right down when you call her. She is a little shy at first and gets spooked easily, but once she gets to know you she is just a lovebug.

They are two very special girls and would love to go to a home with someone who is kind and has patience to continue to work with them on their insecurites.
