Chip was in a pound in North Carolina when he was rescued by an Animal Hospital in N.C. The animal hospital had no luck in getting Chip adopted. He was there for several months and they asked if we could take him. And of course we said, yes. Chip is a 1 1/2 year old chocolate lab mix. . Right now he is very skinny but he loves to eat so it won't take long for him to gain the appropriate weight. He is very friendly and full of energy. He loves to play and he loves to cuddle. The first day he came in to his foster home he jumped on the couch with his foster mom and layed by her for hours. It was like he was saying 'thank you' for giving me a home. He is a very happy boy. Always wagging his tail. Chip gets along great with his foster doggie sister. She shows him that she is boss and he accepts it. Chip comes immediately when you call for him. He knows how to sit but is stubborn about doing it. He is completely house trained and is crate trained too. But he does not sleep in his crate a night. Chip is still young and is a little mouthy when he plays. He is gentle but might frighten a child who doen't understand. If you have any questions regarding Chip please don't hesitate to ask.
